Hi from Nashville, Tennessee!

My name is Anna Kate Read (yep, a double name — friends call me Anna Kate or AK), and I'm a design-minded reader, writer and editor with a background in content creation, copywriting, proofreading, social media, storytelling and retail.

After five years crafting cover stories and front-of-book content for local print publication Nashville Lifestyles, I traded long-form editorial for compelling, quippy copy at start-up SmileDirectClub’s in-house creative agency. There, I spent nearly two years writing up CRM and broadcast email streams, branded landing pages and assets for out-of-home, retail, social, paid media and more.

These days, I’m the marketing director for Skin Pharm, a female-founded cosmetic dermatology practice and skin care brand with clinics in Nashville, Atlanta, Dallas, Charlotte and counting! Our goal is simple — to empower people with the skin care, treatments and knowledge they need to feel good in the skin they’re in.
